You’re in for a real treat! This free event will include a Q&A, book signing, and refreshments. Join us for an evening of verse-atile talent:

Poets @ Pace, which brings important poets to the Pace NYC Campus each semester, is organized by Pace Poet-in-Residence Charles North and sponsored by the Office of the Provost. Here’s the lineup:
- Born in Orange, NJ, Michael Lally attended the University of Iowa Writers Workshop on the GI Bill and has published more than 30 books of poetry and prose. His writing accolades include an American Book Award, two NEA Fellowships, the 92nd Street Y Poetry Center’s Discovery Award, and the PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Award. The critic David Lehman has described Lally as a “gregarious, theatrical, funny, sometimes pugnacious master of the contemporary American idiom.
- Nadia Owusu graduated from an international school in Uganda and came to the US to study political science at Pace. She was on her way to class on September 11, 2001, when the second plane flew into the South Tower of the World Trade Center—an experience she reflected upon in her first book, Aftershocks, which has won the 2019 Whiting Award and is due out from Simon and Schuster next year. Her other publications include the lyric essay So Devilish a Fire (2018), a winner in the Atlas Review Chapbook series, and pieces in The New York Times, The Literary Review, and The Rumpus.
