Biography of Pete Seeger - Discussion with author Meryl Danziger

Author Meryl Danziger will discuss her book Sing It! A Biography of Pete Seeger, which sprouted from a long collaboration with Pete himself, was published by Seven Stories Press in July of 2016.

Meryl will share the extraordinary story of how the book came to be, and discuss its purpose and relevance. Her presentation will include readings from the book, visuals, and—essential to any Pete-related event—a sing-along!

In addition to receiving a starred review from Publishers Weekly, and praise from David Amram and Roger McGuinn, In 2017, Sing It! was featured as the centerpiece for “Woody’s Children” with Robert Sherman on WFUV.

Meryl lives in Manhattan and works as founder and director of Music House, a highly individualized, exploratory approach to music learning. Her book Music House: Liberating the Music Lesson will be out soon.
