“This is a story about how babies are made. The first thing you need to know is that you can’t make a baby out of nothing. You have to start with something.”
And so Cory Silverberg’s colorful and informative picture book on reproduction begins. What Makes a Baby is a book for every kind of family and every kind of kid. It explains how a sperm and an egg come together “in a special dance” to create something special and unique: a child. Whether that child comes from a sperm donor, adoption, or the old fashioned way, Cory’s book helps parents navigate through a tricky conversation and while leaving room for discussion and inclusion of each individual child’s story.
This week, we are celebrating Triangle Square’s anniversary with Cory and What Makes a Baby, so check back for author interviews and more!
