Subhankar Banerjee speaking at Teaching for Change’s Busboys and Poets in DC

Subhankar Banerjee, engineer turned environmental activist, writer and photographer, will be speaking about the many threats to the Arctic including Shell Alaska’s plans to begin exploratory drilling in the coming weeks, at Teaching for Change’s Busboys and Poets in Washington DC on Monday, September 24th at 6:30pm.

He will be discussing his new book Arctic Voices: Resistance at the Tipping Point, whichbrings together first-person narratives from more than thirty prominent activists, writers, and researchers who address issues of climate change, resource war, and human rights with stunning urgency and groundbreaking research.
