February 20, 2011 8:43pm
February 20, 2011, 7-8PM, Inga Muscio will be speaking at the University of Wisconsin about her latest book, Rose, exploring the impacts of passive violence, abuse, war, and cultural trauma on our most intimate lives. Inga will be discussing passive violence, racism, and feminism. Rose breaks new ground in answering a fundamental question in most feminist and antiracist writing: how do we identify, witness, and then recover from trauma—as individuals, as families, as communities, and as a country? The event is sponsored by the Milwaukee Students for a Democratic Society. Location: UWM Union Ballroom, 2200 E Kenwood Blvd, 1st Level, Milwaukee, WI 53201. This is a free event.
