Borges & Translation: Featuring Suzanne Jill Levine

April 8, 2013 7:00pm

Suzanne Jill Levine, translator of Mundo Cruel, will be taking part of Borges and Translation, a panel on Argentinian author Jorge Luis Borges, at the Americas Society. The panel will touch on Borges, the art of translation, and their relevance in world literature, and comes before the April 17th opening of the Xul Solar & Jorge Luis Borges exhibition at the Americas Society’s gallery, April 17-July 20.

Levine’s acclaimed translations, which include works by Guillermo Cabrera Infante (Three Trapped Tigers) and Manuel Puig (Betrayed by Rita Hayworth), have helped introduce the world to some of the icons of contemporary Latin American literature.
